Why is my Sony 720p projector (w/new lamp) starting to turn the whites to yellows? - sony projector bulbs

I replaced the lamp within 100 hours of listening time on my Sony Home Theater Projector, 720p, whites, and were gradually turn yellow, nor (prior to replacing the lamp), no matter how you adjust the color or contrast. The projector is about 8 years.
